Holy Week begins with the traditional Blessing of the Palms at the charming Little Well Church. After the blessing, a fascinating procession winds its way to St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, followed by Mass. In the afternoon, singers from the Aeolian Islands stage the **Way of the Cross** through the streets of the town, culminating in the Sanhedrin performance in Piazza Mazzini, with a breathtaking finale at Lipari Castle. An experience of faith and tradition not to be missed.
March/April (variable date)
One of Lipari's most evocative events: the Procession of the Varette. All the local confraternities wear traditional religious garb and carry the ancient sacred statues through the streets of the town, accompanied by the sound of children's noisy spinning tops and a marching band. The narrow streets of the island are filled with solemnity and devotion. A unique opportunity to get in touch with Aeolian spirituality.

On Easter morning, in the picturesque **Piazzetta di Marina Corta**, the processions of the Madonna and Jesus, coming from two different streets, meet in a symbolic embrace. The celebration ends with exciting **fireworks** that light up the Lipari sky, creating a magical atmosphere. A joy-filled moment that celebrates the Resurrection with great community participation.
First Week of July
Don't miss the opportunity to experience the Aeolian Music Fest, a truly unique event: live concerts on the sea! Performances take place on boats that sail between the bays of Lipari, Salina, and Panarea, creating a breathtaking spectacle among the waves and Aeolian sunsets.

2nd Sunday in July
One of the most picturesque festivals on the island! The procession begins from the quay at **Marina Lunga**, where local boats, festively decorated, ply the sea in a spectacular parade. The bay is transformed into a wonderful floating theater, followed by concerts and stalls. The evening ends with **pyrotechnics** reflecting their colors on the crystal clear waters.
3rd/4th Sunday in July
This festival takes place in the seaside resort of Canneto. Celebrations include races, local competitions, stalls and concerts. The festivities culminate in a fireworks display

In the village of Acquacalda, the feast of San Gaetano is a must-attend event for lovers of Aeolian gastronomy. Fresh fish tasting, stalls and local music enliven the small village, ending with spectacular fireworks displays.
august 21-24 (main day: August 24)
The most important and awaited festival in the entire Aeolian archipelago! St. Bartholomew, patron saint of Lipari, is celebrated with a series of unforgettable events. The festivities begin as early as August 21
with concerts, markets and outdoor performances, enlivening the streets of Marina Corta. The climax of the festival is on August 24, with the grand procession that sees the statue of St. Bartholomew carried through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by worshippers and musicians. As the sun sets, the procession stops on the quay as the island prepares for the long-awaited fireworks display, one of the most impressive in the region. Lights dance on the sea, creating reflections that leave visitors breathless. This is the highlight of the Aeolian summer, a celebration of faith, tradition and sheer wonder. You can't miss it!

In the hamlet of Quattropani, the feast of Maria SS. della Catena is a special occasion. On Sept. 7, an overnight pilgrimage starts, crossing 5 kilometers from Lipari to the small church of Quattropani, creating an atmosphere of recollection and faith. The celebrations continue with music and dancing, and conclude with spectacular fireworks.

In Pirrera, the Sagra del Dolce is a must-attend event for the sweet tooth. Village women and local bakeries compete in creating the tastiest desserts, offering visitors a taste of Aeolian specialties.

In the hamlet of Pianoconte, the Feast of Santa Croce is the perfect opportunity to discover the island's typical products and participate in local contests and competitions. The evening ends with fireworks that provide a splendid conclusion to the festival.
